The vineyards

Finca El Maitén, Cuadro Benegas, San Rafael, Mendoza.

This vineyard is located west of Rio Diamante’s valley, on a sandy loam soil of alluvial origin, with calcareous characteristics. From this vineyard we obtain our Malbec grapes, with a total of 4 hectares. Also, in this land you can find the winery, our restaurant and our cozy Inn ‘El Maiten`.

Finca La Matilde, Cañada Seca, San Rafael, Mendoza.

This vineyard is located on the center of the alluvial cone marked by both the Atuel and Diamante rivers. These are deep and rich lands, where we can obtain grapes with a fruity and distinct characteristic. From this vineyard we obtain our Malbec and Bonarda grapes. This parcel of Bonarda, planted on 1962 by our family, transmits the concentration of these long-lived plants and allows us to achieve and excellent wine, fundamental part of the ÒPTIMO Blend.

La Carrera, Tupungato, Valle de Uco

A vineyard located on this unique and one of a kind valley, is located 1550 masl. An alluvial floor with tons of organic matter and gravel layers gives a unique combination, generating a natural and limiting factor of the plant’s development. An extreme weather, with colds so intense they transform it into the coldest zone of production on Valle de Uco. It is an ideal zone for whiter varieties and short term ones. From there we select the grapes for our Sauvignon Blanc Efusivo. The maturity of the grapes is done in a very slow way, giving it unique descriptors from a natural balance of the acidity, pH and sugar that stand out on Continental Mendoza.

Vista Flores, Tunuyán, Valle de Uco

Vistaflores are located on the margin of the alluvial cone of the Tunuyán River, so we find a great heterogeneity of soils over short distances. Here our bunches ripen slowly, achieving wines of complexity with acidity that allows us to think of wines for ageing. From these vineyards we harvest our Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes.
